# Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take for my child to see improvement?

Most children start to have improvement in their ADHD symptoms within 1-2 months after starting treatment.

My child does not yet have a diagnosis. Can you diagnose ADHD and/or other mental health/ behavioral concerns?

Yes, we can provide a thorough diagnostic assessment to determine if your child meets the criteria for a diagnosis of ADHD and/or other conditions.

My child struggles with focus and behavioral problems, but does not meet the diagnostic criteria for ADHD. Can you help in this situation?

We can treat children with focus difficulties and behavioral problems without an ADHD diagnosis (children who do not meet diagnostic criteria).

My child has ADHD, along with other chronic health conditions (anxiety, headaches, stomach aches, etc.). Can you help with these, too?

Our treatment approach will often lead to improvement of other chronic health conditions. We will need to discuss the specific details of the other conditions to determine if they will likely be helped by our treatment approach.

Can you prescribe and/or taper my child off ADHD medication?

We can manage ADHD medications and tapering in certain cases. We will need to discuss your child’s specific situation to determine if this is possible.

My child is working with a behavioral health therapist. Will you coordinate care with the therapist?

Yes, we want to give your child the most comprehensive care possible and find it beneficial to collaborate with therapists or other health care providers.

What are licensed naturopathic doctors (NDs)?

Licensed NDs diagnose, prevent, and treat acute and chronic illnesses. They work to identify the underlying cause of disease and develop customized treatments to improve health by supporting the body’s healing abilities.

What are the education requirements to become a licensed ND?

Licensed NDs complete a 4-year medical program after obtaining a bachelor’s degree. After passing board exams, NDs can apply to become licensed in a specific state.

Do you offer primary care services?

No, we do not provide primary care services. We strongly recommend our clients have a pediatrician or primary care provider for general health care.

Why do you only offer telemedicine?

Most families prefer the convenience and flexibility of telemedicine consults, and this model allows us to reach patients in a larger geographical area.

Do you take health insurance?

We are not contracted (in-network) with health insurance companies because we prefer to have the freedom to spend as much time as needed with our patients and don’t want insurance limitations to define that time!

In addition to credit or debit cards, you may use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for our services.
